“Let me introduce myself: My name is Jukka,
and I play the keyboards in Frail. If you did know that already: congratulations,
you've kept your eyes open. Everybody knows that there's five guys
in Frail, but few seem to know who the fifth guy is. I guess that's
because I'm usually put as far back on the stage as possible, so that
the guys in front can have all the space they need to jump around.
So nobody sees my face, but I guess that's for the best.
Something about myself: I love lifting weights! Especially after a
tour or a session in the studio, going to the gym is the best way
to release aggression. Lately I've been building up my chest the most,
and for some reason our photographer had a problem with that. When
taking the pictures for our new album, he made me turn several times
before taking each photo, trying to get me to look normal. What was
the problem? I mean, look at Lary’s and
Junnu’s faces! They should've turned 180 degrees ;)
Nevertheless, I seriously do love playing in Frail. I also do most
of the background vocals, and actually those are some of my favourite
bits in our music. At first I thought the sound of my voice was too
”Pavarotti” for this kind of rock, but after recording
the album I was really happy to notice how good my voice sounds with
Tarmo's vocals.
I hope in the future we can play as many gigs as possible. Also I
hope we can make people see that there's more to this life than meets
the eye. We believe that there actually is a God who loves people
and wants the best for us . I know Christianity is not the most trendy
message in society today, but the faith we five guys share makes us
like brothers even though we are all so different. We are a funny
little family, and even though we may fight at times, we also thank
God before every gig that we've found each other, and that together
we get to be Frail.” |
